Indonesian Independence Day

Every year, especially on 17th august many people in my country celebrate Indonesian independence day.Many people celebrate this day with many activity such as festival of marching band, cultural festival, and the other unique activity in every region across the country. Firstly, in the morning all the people in Indonesia following the raising flag-ceremony and then continue by a reading of the text of proclamation.

When I was in senior high school, I follow the festival marching band for celebrating Indonesian independence day.Two months before, my friends and I have been practicing marching band everyday after we finish our teachings. The festival will be held on 18th august, one day after Indonesian independence day. I’m very appreciate about the festivals,because this is the first time I followed. Finally, with hard work and practice we showed the best performance and entertaining all the audience. I also attended an other competition not only in my school but also in my villages such as badminton competition, football competition, volley-ball competition, and many unique competition. All of people interested to participate the competition, not only young people but also old people like that. All the competitions are held illustrates the spirit of Indonesian soldiers that never give up.
