Obesity is an excessive weight as a result of too much body fat in our body. Nowadays, obesity not only occurs in adults but also in children. Many parents are happy to see their children have a bigger body than other children. They do not realize that their children have a big body doesn't mean healthy. The roles of parents are very important to prevent children from obesity. The causes of obesity in children include unhealthy food choices, lack of physical activity and genetic.
First cause of obesity in children is unhealthy food choices. A lot of activities of parents make them choose fast food for daily meal for their children because it is not only delicious but also simple. The task of parents is controlling the intake of daily nutrition for their baby; it can’t be fulfilled by consuming fast food. Fast food contains a lot of calories, preservatives, artificial coloring agent, and artificial sweeteners. Those things can cause obesity if it is consumed continuously. Therefore, unhealthy food choices can cause obesity.
Second cause of obesity is lack of physical activity. Development of technology has positive and negative impacts. In term of obesity in children, technology is the one of cause of obese such as playing game, browsing internet, etc. Many of children are lazy for doing activity. So they cannot burn the fat in their body and it can be piled up continuously. It can lead them to obesity or overweight.
Last cause of obesity is genetic. Obesity that occur in children, sometimes occur when the lineage in the family who also suffer from obesity. If one of their parents is obese, it will bring obesity gene to their descendant.  Something that is brought by gene is inevitable, so if the parents have an obesity gene the children will easily become obese. Therefore, gene is also a cause of obesity.
As I mentioned before, the causes of obesity in children include unhealthy food choices, lack of physical activity and genetic. The Wise-man says "we are what we eat". It means that we can become obese because of food that we choose. So, we only have to consume a healthy food. After choose the right food, we have to do some exercises because 100% of obese person are never committed to any sport activities. The last thing is cannot be avoided, it’s a gene. We actually cannot prevent the genetic things, but if we are committed to the healthy life we still can control our weight body and prevent the obesity.
